Our Background

Hi, I’m Dale Hughes, the everyday dreamer and creative mind behind Rural Media Group.  I grew up in the tobacco fields of Granville County, learned to fix computers when dial-up was cool, spent 9 years maintaining Apache helicopters—eventually becoming a warrant-officer, served my town as a commissioner, beat cancer and earned myself a utility patent for animal training devices along the way.  When I transitioned from military life to commercial aerospace, one lesson stuck: technology and innovation only matters when it helps real people.

 

That belief now drives RMG. Whether I’m filming a local festival, designing a 3-D model for the town council, or crafting social media campaigns for mom-and-pop shops, my goal is simple—make small towns and businesses look as vibrant online as they feel on Main Street.  I still tinker in the shop and build YouTube projects under my channel Dale Does It All. But Rural Media Group is where every skill—the tech nerd, the maker, the creator, the marketer, the storyteller—finally meets its purpose: bringing big-league creativity to communities and businesses that deserve to be seen.
